Sunnah salaries or Payroll prayer It is a type of temporary supererogatory prayer with a time, which is specific to its being affiliated with the five obligatory prayers, either before the obligatory prayer and its time begins with the entry of the time of that obligatory prayer, or after it and its time enters by completing the act of the obligatory prayer. The time for each of them comes out with the time of imposition. The regular Sunnah has been prescribed to compensate for the defect that occurs in the perfection of the imposition, such as a lack of reverence or contemplation of a reading. And the salaries, according to the degree of her virtue, are either a confirmed Sunnah, which is two rak’ahs before the Fajr prayer, four before noon, two after it, two rak’ahs after Maghrib, and two after Isha. Or it is desirable, which is: adding two rak’ahs in the afternoon, four rak’ahs before the afternoon prayer, two rak’ahs after Maghrib, and two rak’ahs after dinner. He concludes his prayer with Witr.
Sunnah salaries[عدل]
Sunnah salaries They are the sunnah prayers that follow the five obligatory prayers, two or four rak’ahs, that are prayed at specific times, either before or after the obligatory prayer. Among them is what is a confirmed Sunnah, and what is Sunnah with legal evidence, but it is in a lesser rank than certain. The regular Sunnahs are: twelve rak’ahs: four of them before noon in two tasleems, two after it in one tasleem, two after Maghrib in one tasleem, two after dinner in one tasleem, and two before dawn prayer in one tasleem, and the Prophet used to preserve them in Urban and advises his companions to pray.
As for others; Its legitimacy has been proven by other evidence, and it is the elderly in the post-confirmed degree, which is: to add two rak’ahs in the afternoon, four rak’ahs before the afternoon prayer, two rak’ahs before sunset, and two rak’ahs before dinner.
Salary sections and types[عدل]
The regular year is divided into confirmed and desirable, both of which are temporary supererogatory, proven by legal evidence, but the intent of this division is: the specialization of the confirmed supererogatory with legal characteristics that indicate the confirmation of its request, so it is not obligatory, but rather closer to imposition. As for desirable salaries; It is proven by legal evidence as well, but what is certain is better in rank.
Confirmed salary[عدل]
Confirmed salary It is: the confirmed Sunnah, which was proven to be transmitted by the Prophet’s Sunnah and the Prophet Muhammad persevered in it, and did not leave it except once or twice, and urged to do it. The evidence of its legitimacy has been established by agreement, and it is mentioned in a hadith mentioned in the Two Sahihs
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, he said: I memorized it from the Messenger of God ﷺ Ten rak’ahs, two rak’ahs before noon, two rak’ahs after it, two rak’ahs after Maghrib in his house, two rak’ahs after dinner in his house, and two rak’ahs before Fajr. agreed. |
-Sahih Bukhari Sahih Muslim |
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, he said: I prayed with the Prophet ﷺ Two rak’ahs before noon, two rak’ahs after it, two rak’ahs after Maghrib, two rak’ahs after dinner, and two rak’ahs after Friday prayer. agreed
And in some ways on the authority of Ibn Omar, he said: My sister Hafsa told me that he used to pray two light rak’ahs after the dawn came. |
-Sahih Bukhari Sahih Muslim |

The confirmed salary is better than the rest of the salaries, and the confirmed is better than the confirmed, and so on according to what is confirmed, and its ranks in preference are as follows:
- Two rak’ahs before the Fajr prayer is the most affirmative and best of the prayers, and it is a confirmed Sunnah for the public, unlike Abu Hanifa, who said that it is obligatory.
- The rest of the confirmed salaries after the Fajr salary, which are:
- Four rak’ahs before the noon prayer and two rak’ahs after it.
- Two rak’ahs after Maghrib prayer
- Two rak’ahs after the Isha prayer, and the Witr prayer is added to it
- The remaining salaries are:

its times[عدل]
The time of the salary prayer is related to the time of the obligatory prayer, and its association is with the obligatory prayer with which it is prayed, as it is dependent on that obligatory prayer. They are of two types
- A salary before the imposition, and it is called: (a pre-imposition salary), and the beginning of its time begins with the entry of the time of the imposition, and it is prayed before it, and it is permissible to delay it after it. And it comes out at the time of imposition.
- A salary after the imposition, and it is called: (a post-impositional salary), and the beginning of its time begins with the completion of the imposition, so do not pray before it, and its time ends with the end of the time for the imposition.

arguments[عدل]
Dawn year
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ : “The two rak’ahs of dawn are better than the world and what is in it.”.[1] Aisha, may God be pleased with her, says: “The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not do any of the supererogatory prayers more severely than him, making a commitment to the two rak’ahs of dawn.”[2]
The Sunnah of Dhuhr, Maghrib and Isha
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: “It was the Prophet ﷺ He prays four rak’ahs in my house before noon. Then he goes out and leads the people in prayer. Then he enters and prays two units. And he used to lead the people in Maghrib prayer. Then he enters and prays two units. He leads the people in prayer for dinner. He enters my house and prays two rak’ahs.”[3]
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, he said: (I memorized it from the Prophet ﷺ Ten rak’ahs: two rak’ahs before noon, two rak’ahs after it, two rak’ahs after Maghrib in his house, two rak’ahs after dinner in his house, and two rak’ahs before Fajr) Agreed upon[4]
Her bounty[عدل]
- On the authority of Umm Habiba that the Prophet ﷺ He said: “Whoever prays twelve rak’ahs in a day and night, God will build for him a house in Paradise.”[5]It was determined by al-Tirmidhi: “Four before noon, two after it, two after sunset, two after dinner, and two before dawn.”.[6]
And also from the hadith of Umm Habiba bint Abi Sufyan, that she heard the Prophet say: “Whoever memorizes four before noon and four after it, Allah, the Exalted, will forbid him to enter Hell.”[7]
